For a young who wants to become a billionaire, Tommy Calvert Jr. sp
ends a lot of time helping the people in his East Side hometown community.
The young man has already built a reputation as an articulate speaker, a voice for the voiceless, an organizer, and a man unafraid to challenge City Hall or even leaders in his own community.
The former candidate for Congress has been focusing on growing his business while helping set up a film series at the Martin Luther King Jr. Academy called, "Know Why You're Marching."
The idea for the series came after Calvert led a group on a bus tour of civil rights history, that ended up in Memphis, Tenn., where Martin Luther King Jr. was slain.
Calvert promises to be a strong voice for his community for years to come.
